This memorandum details the analysis and recommendations of the MPO's transportation study at the intersection of Pond Street, Massapoag Avenue, East Street, and Quincy Street in the town of Sharon. The existing conditions at the intersection are a source of frequent confusion and conflict. MPO staff conducted a site visit, collected data, and interviewed Town staff to develop an understanding of existing conditions and produce recommendations. This study provides short-term interventions to improve the intersection for all road users and an analysis of alternative designs for intersection reconstruction.
